Graduate Courses
Honors Program students may count up to six credits of graduate-level coursework in fulfillment of their University Honors requirements. Some students in combined undergraduate-graduate degree programs, such as the Pharm.D., BA/MD, BS-MS or BSN/MSN program, will enroll in graduate courses as a required part of their academic program. Other undergraduate students may request permission to enroll in a graduate-level course. Review the UMKC policy on graduate course restrictions for undergraduates for more information and eligibility requirements. Interested students should start by consulting your assigned academic advisor or the School of Graduate Studies.
If a course is cross-listed as both undergraduate and graduate credit, students must be enrolled in the graduate version (5000 or higher) to earn Honors credit.
- Ex: ME 5516 and ME 416 are both Biomedical Device Design. Students must be enrolled in ME 5516 section for Honors credit. Be sure to email Mariah once you're enrolled so she can make sure your coursework shows up on your Honors audit.
Students must earn a B or better in a graduate course to receive honors credit.
