The Honors Program provides many opportunities for students to engage in Beyond the Classroom (BTC) Experiences. These experiences are recommended but not required for honors students.

UMKC offers many ways to connect students with invaluable internships during their college career that they can use as honors credit.

Study Abroad

Students can earn up to 15 Honors credits through Study Abroad.

Up to 15 credits earned in any UMKC-approved study abroad program may be counted as regular honors credits in fulfillment of the coursework needed to earn the University Honors distinction.

To get honors credit for your study abroad experience, please complete the UMKC Honors Program Study Abroad Form at least two weeks before departure.
