Represent UMKC as a Shear Fellow!

The Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life has announced the 21st Century Leadership Academy will be held from May 21–26, 2017 in St. Louis, MO.

The Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life is a non-partisan institute focused on making government accessible to all Missouri citizens by encouraging women’s full participation in the policy process. The organization sponsors the 21st Century Leadership Academy, an intensive week-long residential leadership development program designed to inspire civic engagement and encourage women’s public sector leadership. The program features involvement from several schools including Missouri State University, the University of Central Missouri and of course UMKC. Participants of the program are known as “Shear Fellows.”

Apply to Represent UMKC as a Shear Fellow by March 17, 2017

Spend a week with outstanding student leaders and savvy women in public life: women judges, women office holders & women public policy experts.
